Davante Adams

Image
This post only needs a two word title.  Davante Adams.  The best WR in the NFL is a game changing event for the Las Vegas Raiders. With just two winning seasons, two playoff appearances and no playoff winds in 19 years, the Raiders have decided to win now.  With Davante lining up at receiver, the Raiders are capable of winning every game next season. Now of course they won't win every game but Davante changes the game day dynamic going forward for Josh McDaniels' side.  With the added advantage of having a close Fresno State connection with Derek Carr, Davante transforms the Raiders offense from being effective to being explosive.....on every play. All of a sudden, the Raiders have their best offense since 2002 - the last time the iconic franchise reached the Super Bowl   If you like my content, why not buy me a coffee?!  https://www.buymeacoffee.com/365Raider

Predicting Raiders Starting Defense

Image
So after a quiet start,  the Raiders made some free agency moves on the first official day of the NFL free agency period  Chandler Jones and Rock Ya Sin will add starter nous and experience, and in the case of Jones, game changing ability.  Below I take a look at how the Raiders might line up in both a 3-4 and 4-3 defense  Raiders 3-4 defense: OLB - Maxx Crosby DE - Clelin Ferrell NT - Andrew Billings DE - Bilal Nichols OLB - Chandler Jones LB - Denzel Perryman LB - Divine Deablo CB - Trayvon Mullen CB - Rock Ya-Sin (Nickel - Nate Hobbs) FS - Tre'von Moehrig SS - Johnathan Abram Raiders 4-3 defense:  DE - Maxx Crosby NT - Andrew Billings DT - Bilal Nichols DE - Chandler Jones LB - Denzel Perryman LB - Divine Deablo CB - Trayvon Mullen CB - Rock Ya-Sin Nickel - Nate Hobbs FS - Tre'von Moehrig SS - Johnathan Abram

Mock Draft 3.0

Image
Cornerback Speed And with my 1st round pick in Mock Draft 2.0 I've opted for a CB1 in Clemson's Andrew Booth Jnr. We need to dramatically upgrade our CBs in both free agency and the draft -  with the "wonderful" prospect of facing Wilson, Mahomes and Herbert six times per season. Future QB There is a robust argument that the draft be strongly defense focused but for the time being I've opted to select Skyy Moore (love the second Y) in the 2nd round and also a look to the future at the QB position by selecting Bayley Zappe, whose tape is impressive  Andrew Booth Jnr
