Analysis - Tottenham Hotspur's Summer Signings
Pierre Emile Hojberg
Hojberg is the classic central defensive midfielder (CDM) that Spurs have been lacking since the peak days of Victor Wanyama. Hojberg's presence will give greater opportunity for the fullbacks to push forward as well as more creative licence for the likes of Lo Celso and Dele.
Joe Hart
Signed on a free transfer, the former England goalkeeper adds experience and premier league nous to the squad. Hart will be a strong vocal presence in the dressing room and brings much needed leadership to a squad Jose Mourinho described as being
"too nice" * .
Matt Doherty
Wolves' standout player of recent times could turn into a gem of a signing. Equally at home attacking or defending, the Ireland international has been one of the predominant right backs in the Premier League in recent seasons. Doherty will become the 31st player from the island of Ireland to play for Spurs.
* All or Nothing Tottenham Hotspur.
