And The Spurs Go Limping On

Without a league victory in three games, Tottenham arrived at Molyneux desperate for 3 points.

Or they should have been desperate for 3 points.

Instead, thanks to the insipid tactics of Jose Mourinho, Tottenham ambled to a dull 1-1 draw by playing unattractive, anodyne football.

Mourinho is not an inspiring figure. His insistence on either (a) claiming the better team failed to win (patently false) or (b) blaming the players for their putrid performances is wearing thin.

As a fan of one of English football's top clubs my expectations are that my team will play with attacking intent. I don't expect Spurs to play flamboyant football every week but I expect attacking intent. If there is little attacking intent I expect the manager to intervene.

Mourinho is facing a pivotal 4 week period.  Anything other than victory over Brentford in the League Cup semi final along with 3 to 4 premier league wins and the pressure will intensify in the extreme for the 'special one'.

Excuse time is over.
