Struggling Grades for Las Vegas Raiders 2023 Draft Picks

Image
• Round 1, Pick 7 Tyree Wilson, EDGE | Texas Tech 2/10 Wilson has been thrust in as starter because of Chandler Jones' nonsense and the kid is struggling. He looks well off the pace so far. In fact the words "pace" and "Tyree Wilson" are a contradiction in terms. A looming bust.  • Round 2, Pick 35 (From IND) Michael Mayer, TE | Notre Dame 6/10 Mayer has had a solid couple of weeks, after a slow start. He's gradually finding his feet- but he's no Darren Waller nor ever will be. • Round 3, Pick 70 Byron Young, DL | Alabama 2/10 The Alabama product has been nonexistent so far in his NFL career. Given he's a third round draft pick, he should be more productive.  • Round 3, Pick 100 (From KC via NYG)* Tre Tucker, WR, Cincinnati 6/10 Tucker has speed and a big upside. He needs to get more of the ball. • Round 4, Pick 104 (From HOU) Jakorian Bennett, CB, Maryland 4/10 A roller coaster start for the rookie who has showed flashes of potential wit

Fire Josh McDaniels

Inspid. Dull. Uninspiring. And this was before the game even started. Sunday afternoon in Chicago was another embarrassing loss for the Josh McDaniels era The Raiders deservedly lost to an injury ravaged Chicago Bears, starting an undrafted Div II QB - Tyson Bagent. The rookie toyed with the Raiders secondary while the Raiders starting QB, Brian Hoyer, played like the Div II QB in what was surely his last ever appearance in the silver and black, and most likely NFL. The Raiders have won 3 games on the back of the defence but today the defence was blown away in the windy city - Maxx Crosby excepted,  who was his usual dominant self.  Winning in the NFL requires strong character, belief and hard work. All were absent in this listless, unacceptable, unprofessional performance from the Raiders.  The decision to start Hoyer rests with Josh McDaniels.  The brittle performance rests with Josh McDaniels  The defeat rests with Josh McDaniels  Raider Nation - it is time for another h

Defense dominates as the Raiders defeat the Packers

Robert Spillane with two interceptions  Powerful Defense   Defense wins championships and very often defense wins games. And so it was the case for the Las Vegas Raiders where Patrick Graham's defense was key to victory over the Green Bay Packers - in doing so the Raiders snapped a 37 year losing streak to Green Bay.  Offensive Struggles   The Raiders' offense was disjointed all evening principally because of a subpar offensive line. Jimmy Garrapolo was under constant pressure but thankfully game managed sufficiently to steer the Raiders to 17 points. Josh Jacobs looked back to his best while Jakobi Meyers and Davante got consistently open and combined for 120 yards and a TD. There was something of a coming out party for Michael Mayer who had a career high 2 catches for 39 yards and was open for a few more grabs which Garrapolo failed to convert. Garrapolo struggled throughout but admittedly was sacked or hit on a total of 10 occasions.  Love Pressured All Game But
